How do I book a Gîtes de France accommodation?

What is a Gîte?

It is the ideal holiday home to be with your family or friends in any season. A gîte is independent and rented per week (most often from Saturday to Saturday), per weekend or for a short stay during certain periods.

What is the "Charmance" label?

Sleep at our house, you are in your house… For one or more nights you will be welcomed as friends by people who have furnished their home ( a farm, a "mas", a manor house, a castle…) with a maximum of five bedrooms.

What is the "PréVert" label?

Nature campsites, located on grassy land, that are shaded, well-exposed and accessible in all conditions, offer you a privileged space because there are no more than 25 plots (with 300 to 400 m2 per plot). The "tradition" campsites have a maximum of 150 plots from 80 to 100 m2 each, with leisure activities and equipment to make the whole family's stay an enjoyable one. Located in nature, the chalet and mobile-home villages allow you to take part in many activities such as angling, horse-riding, mountain-biking, archery, etc. on site.

What is the "épis" classification?

The Gîtes de France quality label guarantees precise comfort regulations (1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 "épis") and the fulfilment of a national charter. All Gîtes de France accommodation is classified according to the home's architectural qualities, their environment, their level of comfort, their décor and their services, and is reclassified at least once every five years. Whatever the classification, the home owners will do their utmost to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay.

How is urban accommodation (City Break) classified?

Accommodation with the "Comfort" classification: a high-quality period or contemporary building, with internet connection, a refined décor, functional equipment and comfort. Accommodation with the "Premium" classification: a very high standard of services and comfort, a building that is historic or full of character, with internet connection and LCD television, and large spaces and volumes.

You should send your comments to the regional branch of Gîtes de France of which the accommodation that you rented is a member, and they will take them into account.
